In what might delay the state board results, the teachers engaged in the correction and moderation of the board examination papers have yet not been exempted from the election duty.
"Several teachers have received letters instructing them to join the election duty. The teachers will be unable to attend the moderators meeting and this might affect the evaluation of board papers finally delaying the results," said Uday Nare, teacher from Hansraj Morarji Public School, Andheri.
On February 6,the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education had written to the election commission asking the teachers to be exempt from election duty.
The unaided school association has also written to the election commission demanding the same.
